Cyclops lesion of ACL

정의: 관절경하 전방십자인대 재건술 시 에 전방십자인대의 경골부착부를 완전히 제거하지 않으면, 남아 있는 remnant가 경골 터널(tunnel)에서 이식된 전방십자인대의 앞에서 섬유성 또는 연골성 notch를 형성하여, notch의 roof에 재건된 전방십자 인대가 감입(impingement)되어 슬관절의 완전 신전을 방해하는 구조물을 말한다.

*Cyclops lesion방지하기 위한 방법
1. Posterior placement of tiial tunnel within the native ACL foot print
2. Adequate notchplasty(신전과 관련)
3. Meticulous removal of overhanging cartilagenous margin & bony debris around the graft after insertion
4. early restoration of full extension following surgery

정의: Midlateral capsule의 lateral tibial articular margin의 iliotibial tract의 견열 골절(Gerdy' tubercle)

임상적 의의: ACL rupture, anterolateral rotatory instability

Segond fracture (avulsion fracture of lateral tibial plateau) is pathognomonic of ACL injury.  Located posterior to Gerdy's tubercle and superior and anterior to the fibular head (avulsion of lateral capsule).
